CISSP 1-day Prep Course

Certified Information Systems Security Professional

Revising the syllabus and going through multiple choice questions. This course is ideal for the experienced IT and Security professional who has no time to go through a five-day course, but would still like some guidance for the CISSP examination.

CISSP 5-day Course

Certified Information Systems Security Professional

A 5-day rigorous class room course involving participants in interactive and hands-on exercises through role plays and the powers of multimedia. Currently conducted ONLY IN KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA.

Pre-requisite: Minimum 3 years of IT experience and proficiency in English.

WASP WITS Advanced Security Professional course 5-Days

WASP is an advanced information security classroom style interactive learning course based on real-life scenarios covering the syllabus of CISSP and BCS Certificate in Information Security Management Principles.

Prerequisite: 

• Minimum of 12 months' IT working experience 

• Proficiency in English. 

Assessment:

• Class exercises

• Role plays

• Hands-on practicals 

• Written examinations (6 essay-type questions)

• Examinations and standards are upheld by an international Board of Examiners of reputable practitioners.

Accreditations and endorsements:

• The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) (discussions in progress)

• The British Computer Society (BCS) (accredited training provider)

• Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) CITREP grant endorsement*

• The National Infocomm Competency Centre (NICC) Singapore*

• Expert Witness UK

• The Asian Professional Security Association (APSA)

• The Singapore Polytechnic Graduates' Guild

CITREP grant offers Singaporeans or Permanent residents up to 50% of the course fee (capped at S$2,500) reimbursed if they pass the WASP examinations and assessments.

 

* IDA and NICC are the highest regulatory and accreditation authority in Singapore.

Instructors:

• Have a minimum of ten years international hands-on experience in varied security projects for multi-national companies, financial institutions and governments

• Postgraduate qualifications from recognized universities

• Vetted by independent and reputable third-parties like the BCS and (ISC)2.

Specialist Instructors:

We invite highly experienced and qualified specialist instructors to speak at our WASP classes. They are specialists within a specialization, namely:

• Domain Name Dispute specialists

• Physical Security experts

• Cryptographers

• Smart card experts

• Mobile payment service providers

• Security experts from Diplomatic missions

• Emergency response experts

• Biometric Authentication experts

Certification:

WASP (Professional) Certificates are awarded only when the participant passes either the CISSP or the BCS Certificate in Information Security Management examinations AND the WASP assessments. However, CITREP grant  applies once the participant passes the WASP examinations and assessments. 

WASP Alumni

WITS is not the usual training center where we train and leave our graduates after the classes. WASP can only transform the minds of the participants by planting the seed to grow the various security concepts. Change will take a longer time. For this reason, we have set up the WASP Alumni, open only to WASP graduates, FREE of charge. The Alumni objectives are:

• To consistently update our knowledge in information security

• To consistently network among our peers to keep our skills relevant to the market.

Alumni members can attend talks by specialist instructors in the WASP classes free of charge.

For those that are not in full-time employment, we provide a free job placement service after they have gained the WASP certification.

MINDSET Managing Information Diligence and Security for Enterprise

An information security course designed for non-infocomm professionals at the management level.

The pre-requisite for this course will be a minimum of one-year working experience in the participants' field of expertise and proficiency in English. The MINDSET course exercises will be customized for professionals in different industries. The syllabus are designed for professionals from non-technical background, but with basic computer literacy.
